Yingkou City invests in two key iron and steel projects

In 2011, the municipal government of Yingkou in China's Liaoning Province invested RMB 454.67 billion ($72.17 billion) in the launch of new construction projects, up 111.9 percent year on year .
 
Of these projects, two were in the iron and steel industry. One was Minmetals Yingkou Medium Plate Co.'s H-beam project with a total investment of RMB 30 billion ($4.76 billion), while the other was Liaoning Special Steel Co.'s one million mt capacity stainless steel project with a total investment of RMB 8.9 billion ($1.41 billion).
