According to report, China's stainless steel flat exports continued to drop in September by 8% month-on-month to 149,190 tons on falling nickel prices.
The data from Customs shows that exports to destinations including Taiwan, India and Vietnam all dropped; however, exports to Korea rose 37% month-on-month.
It is also expected that the exports may remain slow in coming months as buyers may hesitate to purchase on weak nickel prices and economic uncertainty.
From January to September, China's stainless exports were 1.36 million tons, while its imports were 547,742 tons from Taiwan, Korea and Japan.
