In last week, the domestic social steel inventory in Chinese 26 surveyed cities had inched up by 2000 t from prior week to 15.548 million tons, representing that the domestic steel stocks have hiked for two consecutive weeks.

Concretely, the stockpiles for rebar were 6.725 million metric tons in the domestic steel market, up 13 thousand tons from prior week. Meanwhile, the inventories for medium plate and CRC had increased by 18 and 2 thousand tons respectively compared to previous week.

On the contrary, during the period in question, the stocks for wire rod and HRC had emerged a downward trend with the week-over-week decrease of 11 and 19 thousand tons in respective from prior week.

Obviously, we could see that the domestic steel inventory has increased up again, which is mainly caused by the decreasing demand from final customers as entering the traditional low season for steel products.
