Brazil’s heavy plate imports jump in April

Brazil imported 8,989 tons of heavy plates in April, jumping from 795 tons in March but falling from 18,473 tons in the same month of 2012, according to data released by the national foreign trade ministry (MDIC).

In April, Japan was the largest exporter of heavy plates to Brazil with 8,526 tons.

It's learned that the heavy plate price offered by foreign suppliers is better than that in the domestic market recently.
