On December 28, CNPC and Hunan provincial government inked a framework agreement on cooperation in natural gas utilization project in Changsha, capital city of Hunan.
Under the agreement, Hunan provincial government will grant franchise rights of natural gas operation to CNPC in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan; allow PetroChina Kunlun Gas Ltd. under CNPC undertake projects of high pressure natural gas pipeline networks in the aforementioned three cities, and provide support and assistance in the authorizing and recording work in route planning, land expropriation, environmental impact assessment and safety assessment; also, the government will coordinate with Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan to ratify PetroChina Kunlun Gas Ltd.'s natural gas projects.
