Egg price hits record high in 2014, pork price continues rising

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 32nd week of 2014 (August 4-10, 2014) is 205.92 (year 2000=100), increasing by 0.05 point over a week ago. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 207.94, up by 0.08 point over a week ago. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 675,700 tons, decreasing by 0.3% compared to the previous week.

1. The price rose for seven consecutive weeks, climbing to a record high in 2014.

2. The price rose for six consecutive weeks.

3. The total trade volume in 50 major wholesale markets under intensive monitoring of MOA.

4. Being equal to that of the previous week.

5. Out of the 28 items of vegetables under intensive monitoring, as to those of the previous week, the prices of 13 items rose, the prices of 3 items remained the same, and the prices of 12 items fell.

6. Change of prices was slight.
