Egg price falls slightly, vegetable prices continue dropping
According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 22nd week of 2014 (May 26-June 1, 2014) is 201.19 (year 2000=100), down by 1.47 points over the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 202.31, down by 1.82 points. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 670,600 tons, down by 0.5% compared to the previous week.

2. The price of pork was 2.9% lower than that of the same period last year.

4. 22 of the 28 vegetable items witnessed price drop and the other 6 items saw price increase compared to those of the previous week.
5. The vegetable prices have dropped for 16 consecutive weeks, and the average was 2.6% higher than that of the same period last year.
