Vegetables' prices continue rising

While aquatic products' prices fall slightly

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 4th week of 2014 (Jan. 20-26, 2014) is 207.13 (year 2000=100), increasing by 2.02 points over a week ago. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 208.98, up by 2.36 points. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 655,900 tons, increasing by 7.7% compared to the previous week.

1. The total trade volume in 50 major wholesale markets under intensive monitoring of MOA.

2. Out of the 28 items of vegetable under intensive monitoring, the prices for 27 items rose.

3. The rate of price rise expanded by 6.1 percentage points.

4. The rise was within 10%.

5. Out of the 7 items of fruit under intensive monitoring, the prices for most items rose slightly.

6. The rate of price rise shrank by 2.8 percentage points.
