Pakistani trading firm awards Gavilon Fertilizer urea contract
Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), in response to its international tender notice floated on April 18, 2012 made an import deal with Gavilon Fertilizer LLC, USA, the lowest bidder, for 100,000 tonnes of urea at US$522.86/tonne C&F.
In all, 14 bids received in the tender.
All were found responsive in terms of prescribed evaluation criteria. The prices quoted in the tender ranged from US$522.86 per tonne to US$549.00 per tonne (C&F). TCP is importing urea in pursuance of the directive of ECC of the Cabinet to avert any shortage and ensure smooth availability of urea fertiliser to the farmers in the current Kharif-2012.
As per tender, terms and conditions shipments of the urea procured against this tender would start soon after opening the L/C.
