Pre-festive preparation holds China lysine market stable
Prices increased slightly during the week ended January 3.
Feed millers stocked inventories in anticipation of increasing demand for feed with the approach of Chinese New Year. Hence, stable demand helped to underpin lysine prices even as soymeal market weakened.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were stable at RMB13.10-13.55/kg.
With soymeal prices falling, the demand for lysine will soften in tandem. This, together with ample supplies, will limit the upward potential of lysine market.
