Muyang builds new facility in Yangzhou, China

Muyangstarted the construction of its new feed machinery manufacturing base in Yangzhou, China, in line with the launch of its worldwide manufacturing continuous improvement plan at start of the year.

   

   

The new facility consists of a 3,588,000-square-feet manufacturing and distribution capacity for Muyang feed machinery business, including a large production workshop cluster, an office building, an innovative R&D lab and a testing centre. It is estimated to be in operation at the end of 2012.

   

   

Many newly purchased large-scale numerical control machines, welding robots, state-of-the-art moving production lines for machine assembly, coating and painting will be installed for the modernisation and standardisation of production processes.

   
   
The overall layout synchronises all services provided to customers from order intake to delivery, so as to shorten cycle times, reduce cost, and enhance quality.Technically as well as functionally, it is designed to be the most modern feed machinery manufacturing base in the world.
   

   

Besides the new base which is under construction, a productivity enhancement program is implemented in the steel structure fabricating workshop of Muyang Steel Structure Division. The layout of production lines is redesigned and new manufacturing machines are added to smoothen production and improve product quality, in compliance with AISC standard.

   

   
In conjunction with its worldwide manufacturing continuous improvement plan, Muyang is planning to build four to five overseas manufacturing bases in emerging countries in the near future, opening doors for serving market demand more quickly and efficiently.
