Novus establishes centre of excellence in Spain
Novus International, a US-based animal health and nutrition company, has established its first centre of excellence outside the US in Reus, Spain, according to local sources.
The Mayor of Reus, LluÃs Miquel Pérez, the President of Tecnoparc Reus, Àngel Cunillera, and the President of Novus International, Thad Simons, have signed an agreement to install the Business Centre for Innovation and Development (Cepid) Tecnoparc as the first centre of research and development of the multinational corporation outside their country of origin.
The operational base will work as a centre of services for business customers in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Novus International, which has its headquarters in St. Louis, US, is dedicated to the development of a diversified portfolio of health products and animal feed for poultry, swine, beef cattle, dairy cattle, fish, and pets.
More multinationals have realised that Cepid Technoparc is an opportunity to open markets and comply with standards and requirements of EU food and feed legislation.
In recent months, other businesses which have confirmed their interest in locating at Cepid are a leading pharmaceutical group in Mexico, Laboratorios Silanes, and a major food multinational in Colombia, Alpina.
