Alltech appoints general manager for Pakistan office (Press Release)
Alltech, an international provider of animal nutrition products and services, has announced the appointment of Dr Shahzad Naveed Jadoon as the first General Manager for Alltech Pakistan.
Alltech received its official incorporation in Pakistan last month, operating as a private limited company.
Dr Jadoon received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from the University of Veterinary and Animal Science in Lahore, Pakistan. He has many years of experience in the animal feed industry, specifically in the broiler industry. He held the position of farm manager on broiler farms in a number of companies and has experience in managing up to 40,000 broiler breeder flocks.
He also worked as a technical manager for a feed manufacturing and breeding company, where he oversaw the sale of feed, day-old chicks as well as providing technical services for distributors.
Dr Jadoon will be responsible for setting up Alltech''s operations in Pakistan and will be primarily focused on business development with key accounts such as feed mills, breeder companies, broiler control houses and layers. He will also develop and promote Alltech''s solutions for the dairy industry.
The establishment of a presence in Pakistan is key to Alltech''s current growth strategy in the region as it helps to address local issues on a faster pace, according to Chris King, regional manager for South Asia.
Alltech expects to open an office and warehouse officially before the end of 2008, most probably in Islamabad, and will be strengthening the team with additional new hires.
