Experts pointed out that China had set a target for agricultural machinery industry for the next five years. It is well known that gross value of industrial output and export of farm machinery are supposed to reach USD60 billion and USD12 billion respectively by 2015. The future plan of China's farm machinery, drafted by CAAMM(China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers), has submitted to Ministry of Agriculture.
Experts said that main objectives of the plan included developing new products featuring environmental friendly, economical and efficient; promoting industrial structure adjustment, industrial upgrading and enterprise restructuring. In addition, the plan also suggests that the rate of mechanization in ploughing and harvesting should reach more than 60%, and the contribution rate of technology should reach above 10%.
