Denmark's Triplenine to build fishmeal plant in Shandong
Danish fishmeal and fish oil producer Triplenine plans to invest DKK105 million (US$19.48 million) in a new plant in Shandong province, China, according to Undercurrent News.
The company says that the Danish state fund IFU will provide additional DKK35 million (US$6.50 million) to fund the project.
Upon completion, the plant will have a capacity 20,000 tonnes of fishmealand provide 60 jobs.
Triplenine, a fishmeal and fish oil producer, is headquartered in Esbjerg in Denmark. The group has factories in Denmark, Norway, Chile, South Africa and Mauritania. The plant in Shandong will be Triplenine's first factory in China.
