Guangzhou China May 5, 2011 - At present , the price of carbendazim climbed increases due to tight supply of Carbendazim in domestic market. According to CCM's investigation, white carbendazim technical's price increased by USD5360/t, up 9.4% compared with Q1 2011, and the ex-factory price of gray carbendazim technical is about USD5207/t, up 9.7% compared with Q1 2011.
As the busy season is coming, the price of carbendazim increased for the three main reasons below. First, 1,2-Phenylene diamine, one of the raw materials for carbendazim has witnessed huge increase recently. Second, Chinese government has implemented the strict environmental protection policy, so many producers have to suspend or close production devices, which results in the tight supply of carbendazim and its price scoring up. The capacity of carbendazim reduced about 30%.Meanwhile, most of carbendazim technicals are exported to foreign countries. Therefore, domestic carbendazim price is affected by export volume.
Carbendazim is one of the most popular fungicide. At present, there are more than 10 licensed domestic manufacturers of carbendazim technical, and the total capacity is about 25000t/a. The demand of carbendazim formulations is large in domestic and foreign market. In 2010,the export value of carbendazim ranked No.5 in China, followed by chlorothalonil, paraquat, glyphosate.
