Summary: On 12 July, SD Lomon announced to establish a phosphate energy-saving and environmental renovation project to optimise its product structure.
On 12 July, 2022, the meeting of Sichuan Development Lomon Co., Ltd. (SD Lomon) agreed that its sub-subsidiary, Sichuan Lomon Phosphorus Chemistry Co., Ltd. (Lomon Phosphorus) set up a phosphate energy-saving and environmental renovation project with its self-raised capital of USD74.33 million (RMB496.96 million). This project will adopt new technology and technique, as well as advanced devices to improve comprehensive utilisation of phosphogypsum and fluorine to realise clean production, energy-saving, emission reduction and circular utilisation.
This project, locared in Xinshi Industrial Park, Xinshi Town, Mianzhu City, Sichuan Province, will be carried out by Lomon Phosphorus. This project will construct devices of 300,000 t/a wet-process phosphoric acid (PA), 200,000 t/a wet-process purified PA, 120,000 t/a potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4), 60,000 t/a lithium dihydrogen phosphate (LiH2PO4), and 10,000 t/a anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF).
By establishing this phosphate energy-saving and environmental renovation project to optimise product structure and realising cascade utilisation of phosphorus resources combining with chemical engineering unit energy utilisation using wet-process PA as basic raw material, the production of high-end phosphate will ensure raw material supply for downstream sectors.
