Phosphate New Energy speicialises in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of new energy materials and related electronic chemicals such as phosphorus-based cathode materials and their precursors, fluorine-based electrolytes, and electrolytes, as well as the recycling of waste batteries, etc. It now can produce 60,000 t/a of iron phosphate and 100,000 t/a of LFP, and recycle 10,000 t/a of batteries.

Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group was founded in Sept. 2012 and registered with a capital of USD835.91 million (RMB6 billion).         In 2021, Guizhou Province became the first province in China to have a provincial-level support policy that is specifically focused on the new energy battery and material industry. Because of the advantages that Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group has in the phosphorus chemical sector, the 10,000 t/a LiPF6 project will enable the company enter the new energy industry and will address Guizhou province's "One Core and Two Districts" development pattern. ["One Core" refers to using the two key phosphorus chemical industry bases, "Kaiyang County - Xifeng County" and "Weng'an County – Fuquan County", as the core to create new energy batteries and supporting industrial clusters and develop the phosphorus and fluorine-based battery materials industry belts; "Two Districts" refers to the New Energy Battery & Material Industry Cluster in Tongren City and in Xingyi City, Southwestern Guizhou Province. The purpose of these two locations is to expedite the development of industry clusters specialising in battery materials and raw & auxiliary materials, which are represented by ternary cathode materials and raw & auxiliary materials.
