In 2020–2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has issued a number of policies, which make export trade more convenient, improve the pollution prevention and control of pesticide packaging waste to ensure the green, healthy and sustainable development of the pesticide industry.

The pesticide industry has experienced its realisation of the 13th Five-Year Plan in 2020 and the beginning period of the 14th Five-Year Plan in 2021. Due to the strengthened pesticide management, the industry suffers from the transformation and upgrading into the green development.
