Jiamusi Heilong plans to launch a 1,500 t/a 3-isochromanone and 700 t/a M325 project in its existing plant area in Huaxi Industrial Park, Huachuan County. Construction of the project lasts from Sept. to Dec., 2020. Capacities of 1,500 t/a 3-isochromanone and 700 t/a M325 that are pesticide intermediates will be formed once the project completed.

Shandong Cynda announced on 2 Sept. that its wholly-owned subsidiary Weifang Cynda has received the Reply to the Environment Impact Assessment Report of Weifang Cynda Chemical Co., Ltd.'s 3,500 t/a TC Project from the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Weifang City. After completion, the project can provide capacities of 300 t/a imazapic TC, 1,200 t/a imazethapyr TC and 2,000 t/a clethodim TC.

Jiangsu Ruidong plans to make Gansu Ruidong to be in charge of building a 13,600 t/a high-efficiency and low-toxicity pesticide TC, formulation and intermediate project (1,500 t/a in phase I). Construction contents in phase I include 200 t/a chlorimuron-ethyl TC, 300 t/a metsulfuron-methyl TC, 100 t/a tribenuron-methyl TC, 300 t/a bensulfuron-methyl TC, 100 t/a thifensulfuron-methyl TC, 50 t/a sulfometuron-methyl TC, 50 t/a halosulfuron-methyl TC, 200 t/a pyrazosulfuron-ethyl TC and 150 t/a pyrimidine sulfonamide (intermediate) for private use and 200 t/a thidiazuron TC.

Hebei Xingbai expected to start the construction of its 100 t/a green and super-efficiency monosulfuron TC and 500 t/a green and super-efficiency monosulfuron-ester TC and formulation project in Aug., 2021, based on the progress of administrative procedures and other factors. The construction will last for 24 months to Aug., 2023. Notably, some projects related to prominent herbicides developed domestically such as quintrione, quinotrione, cypyrafluone, bipyrazone, fenpyrazone and tripyrasulfone have started constructions or are going through administrative procedures and will begin construction soon, besides monosulfuron and monosulfuron-ester.

As of early Sept., Ningxia Lantian's oxadiargyl TC production line and supporting environmental protection facility in the high-efficiency and environmental-friendly pesticide project has completed construction and went into trial run; other production lines in the project such as nicosulfuron TC, isoproturon TC, bentazone TC, pinoxaden TC, metamifop TC and 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy acetic acid TC as well as supporting environmental protection facilities were under orderly construction, and will be put in trial run soon.

On 28 Aug., ICAMA released the year's 8th batch of pesticides to be approved for registration, which included quinclorac&middot;terbuthylazine 50% WG applied by Fengle Agrochemical. This quinclorac&middot;terbuthylazine 50% WG is registered to be used on annual weeds on sorghum fields.
