In December 2015, Ningbo Juneng’s lubricant using PTFE ultrafine
powder was tested to have excellent performance. Meanwhile, the company
secondarily developed spheroidal PTFE ultrafine powder and launched a series of

On 22 Dec., 2015, Ningbo Juneng Fluorine
Material Technology Co., Ltd. (Ningbo Juneng) announced that its newly
developed lubricant using polytetrafluoro ethylene (PTFE) ultrafine powder had
been tested to have excellent performance.
“The lubricant is applicable to gasoline and diesel engines”, said Zheng Jie,
general manager of Ningbo Juneng: “It can help reduce the frictional loss of
ordinary vehicle engine by 80%+, and at least triple the service life of engine
lubricating oil”. In addition, this lubricant can be applied in industrial
lubrication field, such as the gearbox in wind driven generator and other
lubrication parts in large-capacity vehicles like high-speed rail. This will be
beneficial to easing the reliance on imported lubricants.
Meantime, Ningbo Juneng conducted the secondary development of 60 nm-50 μm low
molecular weight spheroidal PTFE ultrafine powder and launched a series of new
products, like pharmaceutical isolation membrane and rubber plug, to largely
extend the validity period of drugs. This boasts great social and economic
effect. Accordingly, the company has already applied for an invention patent.

bring development opportunities and economic effect to Ningbo Juneng, since
they are in line with the government’s strategy to vigorously develop new
materials.
Ningbo Juneng, different from traditional PTFE manufacturers who focus on
developing general PTFE resins, is dedicated to producing nano-scale and
ultra-micro low molecular weight PTFE powder. Such materials, on one hand, have
excellent common performance in chemical resistance, weather resistance and
lubrication, and one the other hand boast specific characteristics, having no
self-coagulation, no electrostatic effect and low molecular weight. With high
performance in dispersion, it is an excellent raw material which can be blended
with other materials to better satisfy the demand for modifying basic materials
- to improve their lubricity, abrasive resistance, inadhesion and fire
resistance, and to further better the service performance.
In May 2015, the State Council released the Made in China 2025, listing new
materials as a strategic industry and raising to pay high attention to the
subversive new materials. Specifically, it is required that the business layout
and R&D of strategically advanced materials such as superconducting
materials, nano materials and bio-based materials should be carried out ahead
of time, to accelerate the upgrading of basic materials.
Since PTFE ultrafine powder acts well in modifying basic materials and brings
improvement of application value, it will capture attention and will be
demanded greater in the future. This, undoubtedly will offer Ningbo Juneng and
other companies development opportunities.
Notably, Ningbo Juneng, as an enterprise established based on Ningbo Industrial
Technology Research Institute, Zhejiang University, receives strong support
from the local government and Zhejiang University. It is foreseeable that
Ningbo Juneng will continue accelerating the R&D and application promotion
of innovative PTFE materials, as the demand for new materials will be increased
