Arysta LifeScience disclosed that its
fluoxastrobin pesticides will be launched in China soon.

On 5 April, 2016, at its product release
conference in Qingdao, Shandong Province, Arysta LifeScience Co., Ltd. (Arysta
LifeScience) introduced its pesticides to be launched in China, including a
brand-new fungicide, Evito.
“Evito is a highly systemic strobilurin
fungicide, a new member of the fluoxastrobin series,” disclosed Yin Yangyi,
manager of the product development department, Arysta LifeScience.
Bai Yaluo, an expert in Jiangsu Pesticide
Research Institute Co., Ltd., introduced, “Fluoxastrobin was discovered by
Bayer CropScience. This broad-spectrum pesticide can be mixed with various
other pesticides. Not only does it excel at pests & diseases control and
prevention, but also at crop care.”
In 2005, Bayer CropScience granted Arysta
LifeScience the rights to develop and sell fluoxastrobin products.
Specifically, Arysta LifeScience was allowed to sell fluoxastrobin pesticides
in the US, Japan and Canada for crop protection only, and sell to the rest of
the globe for other uses.
In 2012, these two enterprises signed
another contract, which granted Arysta LifeScience the exclusive access to
fluoxastrobin products for both crop protection and other applications, with
the rights reserved for Bayer CropScience to develop and sell fluoxastrobin
seed treatments and some special pesticide mixtures.
Recent years have witnessed steady surge in
the global sales of fluoxastrobin pesticides. Till now, fluoxastrobin has been
registered in many countries.
Notably, patent of fluoxastrobin is to be
expired on 14 Jan. 2017. According to some insiders, some Chinese pesticide
producers have already turned their eyes to fluoxastrobin.
Prior to this, pyraclostrobin fungicide,
another member of the strobilurin series, has become hot in the market after
becoming off-patent in 2015. Not only has some domestic enterprises started or
planned to construct pyraclostrobin projects, but also a large number of
pesticide producers applied for pyraclostrobin pesticide registrations. Both
the registrations and field trials have “skyrocketed”.
The vital reason for this popularity lies
in the huge market potential of the strobilurin pesticide series. Given this,
fluoxastrobin pesticides are expected to be hot in China. Yet, due to little
experience in fluoxastrobin applications in China, domestic producers should do
detailed research on overseas fluoxastrobin pesticides and registrations for
preparation.
Although no fluoxastrobin technical and
formulations have been registered in China yet, according to the Institute for
the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture, a number of Chinese
pesticide producers have started field trials on fluoxastrobin pesticides, like
Shaanxi Weierqi Crop Protection Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Thompson Biological
Technology Co., Ltd. This showed that domestic enterprises have got ready for
the competition.
Arysta LifeScience has predominant
advantages in China’s fluoxastrobin market, thanks to its success in promoting
fluoxastrobin pesticides in many other regions. Of course, Arysta LifeScience’s
fluoxastrobin pesticides to be launched can also serve as references for
domestic pesticide producers.
