At the beginning of 2014, China's 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R134a) market continued the downturn of 2013, being flagging with low prices. However, since March 2014, it took a rebound because of the strong demand in China’s traditional peak period of refrigerants (March–June). For instance, by the end of June 2014, the ex-works price of R134a was USD3,040/t, up by 10.03% compared with that of USD2,763/t in Jan. 2014.
