Guangzhou China Dec. 20, 2010 - As estimated, the growth rate of pesticide market will increase to 16% in 2013 in France after experiencing a 10% growth in 2010.

In 2007, the French government signed Grenelle agreement in order to protect the environment. The usage of pesticide will be reduced by half in the next ten years. In 2010, 53 kinds of dangerous pesticides will be taken off the market or restricted their usage, and 30 of them are about to be eliminated this year. Three kinds of pesticides will be replaced by other products or eliminated in 2011.

In early 2011, new rules on pesticides will be carried out by force in France. Government guides the agricultural sector on how to use non-chemical methods in disease control. Pesticide aerial spraying is prohibited near the public areas, such as parks, schools and hospitals. Pesticide manufacturers are required by the government to improve their production technology.

In France, the major pesticide manufactures are: Bayer Cropsience, BASF, Site Genay, Gravelines Site, Site de Saint Aubin Tweed, Syngenta, Nufarm, Makhteshim Agan, Philagro France and Monsanto. The top tenworld agrichemicals companies cover 80% of market share in France. Syngenta, Bayer Cropsience, Monsanto, BASF, Dow Agrosciences and Dupont hold at least 70% of the world market.
