Brazil's nickel production totaled 33,901 tons in the first half of this year, rising by 1.1% year on year, according to data released by the Brazilian Institute of Non-ferrous Metals (ICZ).
In June alone, the country's nickel output totaled 5,475 tons, decreasing by 11.4% from a month ago but jumping by 33.3% year on year.
Meanwhile, Brazil exported 3,655 tons of nickel in June, falling by 10.3% month on month but increasing by 10.5% year on year. In the first half of this year, the country's nickel exports amounted to 23,318 tons, up by 2.5% year on year.
