Brazil produced 66,272 tons of nickel in 2012, soaring by 53.6% from a year ago, according to data released by the Brazilian Institute of Non-ferrous Metals (ICZ).
Among them, 72.6% of nickel production was for export markets, which was at around 38,657 tons.
In 2012, the country's nickel output for domestic market totaled 18,213 tons in 2012, falling by 7.8% year on year.
