Yieh Hsing, one of the major wire producers in southern Taiwan said that the company has received more stainless steel wire orders, driven by the raising nickel prices.
However, since Yieh Hsing did not collect many orders from its carbon steel wire business as the firm has tried to control its total order volumes.
Therefore, the company's September sales remained flat from a month ago.
Normally, about 60% of the firm's sales revenues come from its stainless steel business and 40% are from carbon steel.
