According to report released by Germany-based service center Damstahl, the European stainless steel market will remain slack for the most of the third quarter due to the uncertain future market situation concerned by end users.
Meanwhile, the report indicated that some companies in Spain and Italy have closed warehouses to offset the dropped stainless steel demand.
However, Damstahl said that the European stainless steel market would rebound in the fourth quarter but buyers might take wait and see attitude towards the market until they make sure the nickel prices touch the bottom.
