According to the data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the Chinese auto industry performed well in September, with automotive vehicle sales and output volumes respectively up by 19.19 percent and 15 percent month on month.
In September, Chinese domestic auto sales rose 19.19 percent month on month to about 1.65 million units, while China's auto output rose 15 percent month on month to around 1.602 million units. The respective year-on-year increases were 5.52 percent and 0.37 percent. Of the above volumes, output and sales of passenger cars totaled 1.275 million and 1.3195 million units, increasing by 14.16 percent and 20.48 percent month on month, while output and sales of commercial vehicles amounted to 327,000 and 326,600 units, increasing by 18.39 percent and 14.23 percent month on month.
As for exports, in September China exported 740,000 units in total. Meanwhile, in the first nine months, auto exports amounted to 610,000 units, increasing by 54.53 percent year on year.
