Yellow phosphorusis a kind of important chemical raw material, which is used for producing phosphorous compounds as thermal phosphoric acid,phosphorus oxychloride,and phosphorus pentasulfide, etc. And it is supplied as raw material for organ phosphorus pesticide and raticide. It is also an effective deoxidizing agent in foundry industry.
CCM predicts that the price of yellow phosphorus will increase a little in the following two or three years and how much will it increase to? China is the biggest producing and export country at the moment, its annual export volume occupies around 60% in the world. For protecting the resources in China, China's government has canceled the export rebates, increasing the export tax and carrying out the electricity control from 2005 to reduce the export of yellow phosphorus. However, the export volume increased in 2007, reaching 830,000 tonnes, after the continuous decrease from 2005 to 2006.
