Taiwanese Tang Eng hikes stainless domestic prices for January

Tang Eng, one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan announced to raise its domestic prices for stainless hot rolled coils (HRC) and cold rolled coils (CRC) by NT$1,500/ton and NT$1,000/ton respectively for January in order to reflect higher nickel prices.

After the adjustment, its domestic prices for 304 grade HRC with thickness of 2mm and 304 grade CRC with thickness of 2mm are at NT$74,500/ton and NT$78,500/ton respectively.

Tang Eng said that its sales volumes were at 17,000 tons in December, remaining flat from November and it forecasted that its sales in January might keep at the same level.
