It's reported that Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan released its list prices for September on August 29th.
The company decided to hike its list prices for 300 grades stainless steel products by NT$4,500/ton for September. Also, it increased its list prices for 400 grades products by NT$500/ton.
Besides, Yusco increased its export prices by US$30~US$180/ton for September.
Yusco stated that
it
decided to raise prices for September due to rebounded nickel prices and improved steel market.
Meanwhile, it's learned that the
LME
nickel prices averaged at US$14,321/ton on August 28th, rising by US$616/ton in comparison of the average prices of US$13,705/ton in July, making the input costs for 300 grades stainless steel products rise by around NT$1,500/ton.
