Average steel price in China declines slightly

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (November 26-December 2) the average steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.  

In particular, in the given week prices of 10 mm steel plate, 80 mm 43 mm 2.5 mm channel steel and 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod decreased by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent respectively, all week on week.   In the week ending December 2, average prices of minerals in China witnessed a decline of 0.8 percent week on week. Furthermore, the average prices of iron ore and lead ore in China decreased by one percent and 0.2 percent respectively in the week in question, both week on week, while the prices of copper ore and tungsten ore remained unchanged compared to the previous week.  

Meanwhile, in the given week average prices of energy in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. The average prices of raw coal and coke in China remained neutral compared to the previous week, while the price of crude oil indicated a week-on-week increase of 1.3 percent.
