MOC: Average steel prices in China indicate only slight changes

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (October 29-November 4) average steel prices in China indicated only slight changes compared to the previous week.  

In particular, in the given week prices of 145 mm 2.5 mm hot rolled steel strip, 500 mm 200 mm H-beam and 3 mm thick hot rolled sheet increased by 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent week on week, respectively. Meanwhile, the prices of 12 mm diameter rebar and 6.5 mm diameter high speed wire rod decreased by 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent respectively, both on week-on-week basis. In the week ending November 4, average prices of minerals in China indicated a decline of 0.1 percent week on week. The average prices of copper ore and tin ore in China decreased by 0.4 percent and 1.5 percent respectively in the week in question, both compared to the previous week.
