Both of steel imports and exports declined in October

According to the data compiled by China's customs, China's steel product exports totaled 3.82 million t in October, decreasing by 0.39 million t month over month while up 33.57% year over year. At the same time, China's overall steel product exports came to 40.97 million t in January-October of this year, up 11.3% year on year.

On the other hand, China also imported 1.2 million t of the steel products in October, dropping by 0.13 million t month over month while still rising by 5.26% year over year. Besides, in January-October of this year, Chinese overall steel product imports amounted to 13.16 million t, down 3.5% year over year.

Besides China also imported 50 thousand t of the billet in October and the overall billet imports amounted to 0.48 million t in January-October of this year, down 2.2% compared to the same period of last year and there were still no billet exports in October.

While Chinese coke exports came to 0.1 million t in October, declining by 40 thousand t month over month and the year-to-date coke exports stood at 3.11 million t, raising by 17.7% year over year.

In addition, China also imported 49.94 million t of the iron ore in October, down by 10.63 million t month over month while still increasing by 9.23% year over year, meanwhile from January to October of this year, Chinese aggregate iron ore imports totaled 557.93 million t, up 10.9% year over year.
