China's steel exports up by 39.87% in September

According to the data compiled by China's customs, China's steel product exports totaled 4.21 million t in September, rising by 20 thousand t month over month and by 39.87% year over year. At the same time, China's overall steel product exports came to 37.15 million t in January-September of this year, up 9.5% year on year.

On the other hand, China also imported 1.33 million t of the steel products in September, down by 20 thousand t month over month while raising by 0.76% year over year. While in January-September of this year, China's overall steel product imports amounted to 11.96 million t, down 4.3% year over year.

Besides China also imported 30 thousand t of the billet in September and the overall billet imports amounted to 0.43 million t in January-September of this year, down 2.0% compared to the same period of last year.

While China's coke exports came to 0.14 million t in September, dropping by 0.11 million t month over month and the year-to-date coke exports stood at 3.01 million t, jumping by 24.4% year over year.

In addition China also imported 60.57 million t of the iron ore in September, swelling by 1.48 million t month over month and by 15.15% year over year, meanwhile from January to September this year, China's overall iron ore imports totaled 508.08 million t, up 11.1% year over year.
