According to statistics released by the Brazilian Institute of Non-ferrous Metals (ICZ), Brazil's nickel output totaled 6,179 tons in May, decreasing by 9.65% from a month ago and falling by 6.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country's nickel exports totaled 4,074 tons in May, rising by 5.5% from a month ago but falling by 19.1% year on year.
In the first five months of this year, the country's nickel output fell by 3.4% year on year to 28,426 tons.
In the given period of time, the country's nickel exports amounted to 19,663 tons, up by 1.1% year on year.
