It's reported that the Japanese stainless steel mills' prices of nickel-based stainless steel scraps rose to ¥125,000/ton in January, rising by ¥5,000/ton from a month ago.

Meanwhile, it's said that Japan's stainless steel scrap export prices jumped to US$1,700/ton CIF, increasing by US$100/ton from the previous month, driven by Korean steel giant Posco's active purchase for March arrivals.
