Li Keqiang visits Urumqi Petrochemical Company

                      On March 22, Li Keqiang, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of CPC and Vice-Premier of the State Council, paid a visit to Petrochina Urumqi Petrochemical Company. Li inspected the construction site of the 1Mt/a aromatic hydrocarbon plant and the master control room of the First Fertilizer Plant.
  
  At the construction site of the 1Mt/a aromatic hydrocarbon plant, Li was informed that 95.5% of the main facilities of the production complex are manufactured in China, and the plant has been a demonstration project in Xinjiang in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction. He also asked details about the costs of crude processing, the optimum profit point of oil products, as well as equipment preparation for operation and the allocation of technical force.
  
  At the master control room of the First Fertilizer Plant, Li was briefed the production and marketing of urea and other fertilizer products.
  
  Urumqi Petrochemical Company, one of the nation's major nitrogenous fertilizer production base, owns the first unit with residual oil as the raw materials and has maintained a leading position in the industry for years.
