Monobenzene extracting technology successfully tested

A test run of a benzene extracting unit with a capacity of 50,000 tons was successfully conducted on November 7 at Karamay Petrochemical. Benzene products produced by this unit, designed by CNPC Huadong Design Institute, have a purity greater than 99.99%, a benzene content of less than 0.4% in raffinate oil and a solvent content of less than 5 ppm.

Raw material for the unit is stable gasoline by catforming, the output is benzene, and the byproducts are pentane oil, blending components of high-octane gasoline and raffinate oil. SUPER-SAEIT patent technology is used in the unit.
