Selected non-staple food prices –36th week of 2014

Pork price rises while egg price drops slightly

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 36th week of 2014 (Sept.1-7, 2014) is 208.11 (year 2000=100), decreasing by 2.04 points over a week ago. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 210.44, down by 2.46 points over a week ago. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 699,100 tons, increasing by 1.7% compared to the previous week.

1. The price rose for ten consecutive weeks.

2. The price fell for the first time after rise for ten consecutive weeks.

3. Being equal to that of the previous week.

4.The total trade volume in 50 major wholesale markets under intensive monitoring of MOA.

5. Out of the 28 items of vegetables under intensive monitoring, as to those of the previous week, the prices of 14 items fell, the prices of 2 items remained the same, and the prices of 12 items rose.

6. Change of prices was slight.
