In December 2010, about 950 Chinese pesticide enterprises realized sales of $6.75 billion, up 22.2% year-on-year. For the whole year of 2010, pesticide sales were $79.72 billion, up 20.8%.
According to statistics, sales of chemical pesticides and biological pesticides were 456.3 billion yuan ($70.2 billion) and $62.0 billion yuan ($9.54 billion) respectively, increased by 19.9% and 27.6% year-on-year. Sales of biological pesticide approximately account for 12.0%, up 0.7% year-on-year.
