Russia's January-March fertiliser production down 8%
In the first quarter of 2012, Russia's output of mineral and chemical fertilisers fell 8% on the year to 4.4 million tonnes, the Federal Statistics Service said in a statement Monday (Apr 16).
In March, fertiliser output declined 4.8% on the year but rose 13.8% on the month, the service said.
In Januarya€"March, ammonia production fell 7.2% to 3.4 million tonnes, disodium carbonate production grew by 7.3% to 726,000 tonnes, sodium hydroxide by 8.2% to 276,000 tonnes.
