Canadian crop farmers using swine manure for fertilisers
Canadian grain and oilseed farmers are reducing production costs by using swine manure as fertilisers.
Crop farmers are starting to look more favourably at using the nutrients in swine manure due to skyrocketing prices of commercial fertilisers.
The use of swine manure to fertilise crops is also viewed as a win-win situation for both the crop farmer and the hog producer.
While selling the weanlings, the hog producer will also have an extra income from swine manure.
