Press Release
DuPont has sold its linuron herbicide assets to Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) as part of the crop protection strategy.
DuPont has divested in linuron herbicide to put more focus, time and resources into their emerging pipeline of new crop protection chemistry, according to Jim Collins, vice president and general manager, DuPont Crop Protection.
''This enables us to increase the momentum and focus of our business as we continue to develop new answers to growers' needs and advance agriculture,'' Collins said.
Linuron herbicide is marketed globally under the DuPont Lorox and Linex brands, as well as several associated mixture trademarks. This specialty herbicide is used primarily in the carrot, asparagus, celery, potato, cotton and soy markets.
TKI will acquire global rights to the linuron business, including trade names, registrations and registration data.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
