China lysine prices on weak trends
Prices continued to slide during the week ended November 12.
Tumbling soymeal prices continued to weaken the demand for lysine in China. Moreover, feed millers were reluctant to stockpile high inventories of raw ingredients including lysine while feed demand remained slow.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine fell to RMB13.50-14/kg.
Even though lysine market stays firm in Europe amid short supplies, China's lysine prices are seen soft due to slack domestic demand. In addition, overseas demand will be limited while renminbi stays strong.
