Guangzhou China Feb. 21, 2011 - Copper salts, including copper sulphate pentahydrate, copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride, copper oxide, etc, are important products mainly used in downstream industries in China, such as plating, agriculture, medicine, feed, etc. There are four kinds of main mixtures of copper salts, copper sulphate pentahydrate formulations, copper hydroxide formulations, copper oxychloride formulations and bordeaux mixture. All of them are mainly used as fungicides in agricultural industry. Copper sulphate pentahydrate formulations have the biggest consumption among the four mixtures above, followed by bordeaux mixture and copper hydroxide formulations.
The industry of copper salts and their mixtures have witnessed a steady growth in the past. Thanks to fine economy situation in China, it is estimated to keep the trend in the next few years, but it is bearing more risks from overcapacity, environmental protection policy and foreign competitors, etc. Therefore, the growth rate of this industry is likely to be a little slow in the future.
