Anitox appoints U.M. Enterprises as distributor in Pakistan

Karachi-based U.M. Enterprises has been appointed by feed safety specialist Anitox to distribute and support the latter''s product range in the country.

The agreement between the two companies will enable Pakistan''s livestock production and feed manufacturing sectors to benefit from Anitox feed safety products and technologies. An international corporation with global reach, Anitox now supplies the majority of the world''s leading feed manufacturers and livestock producers.

UM Enterprises will concentrate on increasing customer awareness of Termin-eight, the Anitox pathogen control programme for finished feed and raw materials, together with its Maxi-Mil?? milling efficiency programme.

With strong links to the Pakistani agribusiness sector, UM Enterprises specialises in human health products, food and feed additives, dairy feed, enzymes, food safety kits, veterinary medicines, as well as solutions for the ethanol and alternative energy industries in Pakistan.

UM Enterprises managing director Liaquat Ali Malik commented: "U.M. Enterprises is delighted to be appointed as the distributor for Anitox products in Pakistan. This is a very exciting opportunity and we look forward to developing a strong working partnership with Anitox."

"As food and feed safety awareness increases across the globe, feed manufacturers and livestock producers in Pakistan are having to adopt a more rigorous approach to feed and food safety. Furthermore, leading international retail food businesses are setting very high standards of food safety and hygiene and meeting their requirements is vital. Reducing Salmonella in feed will be a key element in achieving these more stringent targets, which is why Termin-8?? has significant potential, while Maxi-Mil?? offers considerable benefits for our feed manufacturers."
