Russia bans China's feed additive cargo

The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast in sea border checkpoint "Baltiysky" halted 85,000 kg of feed additiveimports (60% choline chloride) delivered in five containers from China last week.

The further movement of the shipment is suspended due to the Chinese VS failure to comply with animal health requirements for import of plant feeds for animals into the Customs Union.

The above mentioned requirements are approved by the CU Commission Decision No. 317 of June 18, 2010.

The veterinary certificate submitted by China does not confirm the freedom of the administrative region from peste des petits ruminants, classical swine fever, sheep and goat pox and highly pathogenic avian influenza during the last 12 months.
