Cargill announced completion of the first-phase construction of its new facility to accommodate area farmers their crop inputs in the Peace River region, with services available to customers as of May 2, 2011.

"We are so pleased to have been able to complete the first phase of our construction in time for spring. With this expansion complete, we are now able to better accommodate the community and local area farmers", said Mike Witkowicz, Cargill AgHorizons Farm Service Group Manager.

"Having a new chemical shed to provide customers with leading crop protection products and a state-of-the-art fertiliser blending tower fully operating prior to the Spring season will be greatly beneficial for local producers in terms of time savings", added Witkowicz.

"We are proud to have the opportunity to continue to build on personalised customer service and further strengthen the relationships we already have in the Eastern McLennan region", said Witkowicz.
